Project Description
The Churchill Falls Labrador Corporation, CF(L)Co, Town Centre houses the majority of the town`s services including the town hall offices, school, swimming pool, ice surface, auditorium, grocery store, library, hotel, kitchen and restaurant, fitness centre, gymnasium and bank.
- Cahill was the General Contractor and mechanical/electrical construction provider for the life safety, HVAC and architectural upgrade of the Town Centre.
- The renovation project included structural work, building extension, parking lot upgrades, addition of elevators and lifts, reworking interior walls, drywall, painting, flooring, doors and hardware, addition of curtain walls, complete replacement of all HVAC equipment and ductwork, upgrade of distribution and lighting and installation of fire alarm system.
- The project was completed within budget and on schedule in a northern Labrador town accessible only by gravel road or small plane.
