GJ Cahill & Co. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator for its corporate office in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
The Contracts Administrator is responsible for ensuring the negotiation of favourable contractual terms and conditions and the proper execution of the work by corporate and project teams.
Responsibilities:
• Review terms and conditions of client proposed contracts, company contracts and sub-contracts
• Develop contract revisions
• Implement and document negotiated change orders
• Assembly of tender documents
• Address RFIs
• Process claims
Qualifications and Experience:
• A Bachelor of Commerce or Engineering degree or a combination of experience and education equivalent to a degree
• 10+ years contracts administration experience in progressively more responsible positions in an industrial construction or plant operations environment
• Articulate verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of contract and construction law principles
• Knowledge of the project management cycle and experience in project planning, project controls, project estimating & execution would be a definite asset
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power-Point
